This young lady did her extensive research and decided that a Standard Poodle would work the best for her needs. We are excited to see how this Torbec bred puppy trains under her guidance.
"That dog can hunt", I remember my Grandfather saying. My Grandfather was old school and as any Texan that can trace his lineage well before Texas was a Republic, he loved his bird dogs. Now many years later following with tradition, we love our poodles and hope they can serve well as bird dogs for others to love also. We like to hear how our puppies are impervious to gunshots. We desensitize baby puppies after they've had Bio-Sensor Training right after birth. Living on a ranch, the puppies are regularly exposed to the sounds of practice shooting, hunting rifles and native pecans hitting steel roofs that sound like .22's. So when young pups go with their new owners, they have no reaction at all to firing of double barreled shotguns or rifles. So when you are looking for your hunting poodle prospect, contact us for a healthy, ranch raised red or black Standard Poodle. Latest report on Louis: "We took Louis to a quail plantation in southern Georgia where he got to meet horses and have plenty of room to run around. We even took him on a few hunts (riding in the buggy of course) and he wasn't phased by the gunshots at all. He was still a bit young to get in the duck pond but he loved chasing the dead ducks on land and we will work on getting him some real action in the future. Now we just need to get him completely housebroken, through the teething phase and ready for some real hunting training." Thad & Lee Ellen Latest report on Caspian: "My dad took Caspian out Christmas morning with pheasant wings and a shot gun. He said Caspian didn't flinch one and stood at attention. He also loved the pheasant wings! lol " Scotty
Mr. Jack Riley, CGC, now has initials after his name. This is fitting as he will be working everyday partnering with a counselor at a health facility. We wish a long, successful career for him as Mr. Jack Riley starts the next chapter of his adventures. We're sure it won't be long before he'll get many promotions and raises (aka New Zealand lamb treats - his favorite!)
Our own red Col. Travis, son of Annabelle & Zuni, is the April pinup poodle, along with his poodle family, Zuri & Andy in California, in the Fur the Luv of Dogs 2015 Calendar! Col. Travis's poodle mom, Pat loves to dress up her poodles in cute outfits and take great pics that we love. Of course, Col. Travis always loves to pose and ham it up. Below is another pic of Col. Travis helping Pat in the kitchen to make coffee. Knowing our Miss Annabelle Lee & Zuni, we aren't surprised that their puppies are such stars!
Many times prospective puppy homes wonder if one of our puppies will get along with their cat. We have placed several puppies in homes with cats with no issues. We don't have cats in our home or on the ranch so when one of our poodles is introduced to one, they seem indifferent to the cat. Here's a video of a very nice older puppy that is available to an approved home introduced for the first time to a cat. We took him to our obedience trainer's training facility where there is a beautiful red tortiseshell cat that presides there. As you can see in this little video, this 6 month old male puppy has no interest in this cat that he has never seen before. If anyone is looking for a pretty moyen Standard Poodle red boy that is crate trained and potty trained with a quiet demeanor and low prey drive, send us a puppy application.
These 2 red small Standard Poodle puppy girls look almost like twins but Maggie is a couple of weeks younger than Lacey. It's so much fun to watch them play and figure out things to learn. Both of these girls are looking for their forever homes and we have summer specials going on for a little while longer including free delivery. Notice their wonderful natural tails. Click here for an article from Dr. Mercola that explains a little about why we are committed to natural tails and dewclaws for our poodles. Nothing makes Marcy, this little Moyen/Kleinpudel happier than retrieving except maybe finding things I've forgotten about like brushes. Watch this video where she brings me a brush and is so delighted with herself that she jumps straight up in the air! Got to love her. She's available on the Moyen page. She knows her name and has excellent recall ...she comes flying when we call her name. She will be a very small standard...probably about 15" tall. She's very smart, quiet...and very cuddley. Where can you find such a dark red, pretty poodle that's that so small and rarely barks? Click on this to link to read about some amazing information that has helped many a poodle recover from debilitating conditions like over vaccination or over exposure to household or garden chemicals. From what we understand transfer factors are the important ingredients in colostrum that help repair and grow the immune system and healthy tissue. After what we seen and heard what it can do for poodles, we're taking it ourselves. It's good to have around the house just in case of a poodle or pet emergency. The Germ Survival Guide recommends Transfer Factor and and Transfer Factor Plus. This new book written by Kenneth A. Bock, M.D., Steven J. Bock, M.D. is designed to give families and individuals preventative strategies to use to protect against germs and environmental threats. Transfer Factor and Transfer Factor Plus are extolled in the book as an effective way to optimize immune system function so that personal immunity is at its best in the face of a variety of health threats. |
